Dr. Setchell was born and raised in nearby Mendota, IL. While growing up on the family farm, he had an early understanding of hard work and dedication.
Dr. Setchell also learned to appreciate the importance of giving aid to others. He was often eager to assist when a family member or friend needed a helping hand. His desire to help others influenced his decision toward the health field.
While pursuing his BA in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois, Dr. Setchell was introduced to chiropractic. His decision to pursue chiropractic as a career lead Dr. Setchell to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. While at Palmer College, Dr. Setchell was involved with SACA (Student American Chiropractic Association). His passion to help others lead to a position as a clinical teaching assistant in the Palmer Clinics, where he helped other students with their adjusting skills and techniques.
